The Logistics Manager’s Index in the US declined for a fourth month to 60.7 in July of 2022, the lowest reading since May of 2020 mostly due to a decline in transportation prices. The index stayed below the all-time average of 65.3 for a second time but still pointed to a healthy rate of expansion in the logistics industry. Transportation Prices shifted from expansion to contraction (49.5) for the first time in two years as Transportation Capacity (69.1) increased to levels not seen since April of 2019. However, the increase in capacity was much more muted in the last week of July. Meanwhile, Warehousing Utilization (68.8) and Inventory Levels (68.8) remained strong
